Overview

Streetwaves, an innovative start-up, is developing an ultramodern charging and storage station for e-bikes, called HAVN. HAVN is designed as a locker, charger, and bike rack in one, specifically tailored for e-bikes and speed pedelecs. The station is comfortable, ergonomic, and secure, addressing the growing needs of e-bike users. Streetwaves approached us to develop a seamless mobile app to manage the station's functionality and enhance the user experience.

Challenge

Streetwaves needed a way for users to easily interact with the HAVN station while ensuring a smooth, secure, and efficient experience. The challenge was to create a solution that would provide immediate access to the station, secure bike access, and payment functionality without the friction of installation. The app also needed to maintain high levels of security and user-friendliness.

Solution

We delivered a Progressive Web App (PWA) that enables users to immediately access and operate the HAVN station without having to install an app. By scanning a QR code at the station, users can unlock it, check their session data, and manage payments seamlessly. The app provides real-time session tracking and automatic payment processing to minimize delays. It also includes a secure authentication system, ensuring only authorized users can unlock and use the station.

Our Approach

Direct Access: We chose a Progressive Web App so users could immediately use HAVN stations without installation. By scanning a QR code, users can communicate with the station in real-time.

Seamless User Experience: The app provides an intuitive interface for users to track their session duration and costs. When they're done, they can easily end the session, with automatic payment processing to save time.

Security First: We integrated a secure authentication system via email and personal codes, ensuring only the rightful user can access and operate the station. Payments are securely processed via Mollie, providing a secure transaction experience.

The result is a secure, user-friendly app that enhances the experience of using HAVN stations, making it a practical solution for e-bike owners.
