From Beer to Experience: A Digital Discovery Tour at Haacht

Overview

Brewery Haacht wanted to introduce its visitors to the rich history and production process of its beers in an innovative way. With a focus on digitalization and ease of use, Haacht approached us to develop a digital tour. Visitors can scan QR codes at certain checkpoints during their tour, which lead them to a webpage with additional information, images, and background stories. This creates an interactive experience where visitors can learn more about the brewery at their own pace.

Challenge

The challenge was to create a solution that is intuitive and accessible to a broad audience, without requiring visitors to download an app. Additionally, it was important that Haacht's team could easily adjust and manage the tour content themselves, for example during temporary events or updates to the production process.

Solution

We developed a mobile web application linked to unique QR codes distributed throughout the tour. Each QR code refers to a dynamic webpage with text, photos, and other media. Through a management module, Haacht's team can add, modify, or remove content themselves. This keeps the tour current and flexibly deployable, without technical intervention.

Our Approach

Accessible and App-Free: We deliberately chose a web application so visitors don't need to install additional apps. A simple QR scan is sufficient to access the information.

User-Friendly CMS: Haacht has access to a simple management system with which they can manage the content themselves, without depending on developers.

Responsive and Visually Strong: The mobile display is optimized for every device, and the pages contain visually appealing elements that bring the brewery's story to life.
