With the emergence of renewable energy sources and price inflation, EVME approached us to develop an application for their charging stations. The goal was to alleviate these burdens for their end-users by providing an app that allows users to charge their vehicles at the most cost-effective times. The app offers an overview of current energy prices, enabling users to schedule charging only during the most affordable off-peak hours.
The challenge was to design an intuitive app that would be easy for end-users to navigate and understand. We aimed to create a highly functional app without overwhelming the user with excessive information. Another key challenge was ensuring maximum accessibility and optimal performance across devices. To overcome this, we developed a native application compatible with both Android and iOS, ensuring that the app would be efficient and energy-saving, which in turn reduces the strain on the phone’s battery for prolonged use.
Our solution was a user-friendly platform that enables users to create an account and connect to their nearest EVME charging station. Upon logging in, users can immediately view current charging prices and upcoming off-peak hours. The platform also allows users to schedule charging during these off-peak times, providing a convenient and cost-effective way to charge their vehicles.
User-Centric Design: Focused on creating an intuitive and accessible user interface that simplifies navigation and content access.
Security and Accessibility: Prioritized secure access and data protection to build trust and ensure user data is safeguarded. We took steps to prevent unauthorized users from hijacking someone else’s charging session.
Accessibility: We aimed to make the app easily downloadable and accessible to as many users as possible. Therefore, we chose to develop a native app that can be readily downloaded from both Android and iOS app stores.
